This article gave more hope and warmth to my day than anything in the “news,” but that’s not surprising. What is surprising is Chris’ ability to delve into the heart of our best history. He proves it’s the people that matter, those who take a stand for what’s right and find ways to change things for the better even when a fight for legality fails.
Interesting theme, fascinating story, and writing that is so far beyond what I was doing when I was a first year Colby student -- and I was a humanities, not a science major, writing in my original language. Loved starting the day with What Went Right!
Thanks for reading, Karen! I'm so impressed with my international students. I can't imagine trying to write essays in a foreign language. Many of the Colby international kids go to high school at one of the United World Colleges campuses. UWC does an extraordinary job of preparing students.
Thank you for this story of hope and perseverance.
Terrific!
Fascinating "Who knew" piece of history.
Recommend an "A" 🙂!

Thanks, Bill! Berea is a hidden gem in higher education.

Thanks for reading! There are so many inspiring stories out there, if we look for them.
